Transportation
From Taoyuan International Airport to NTHU
Most international flights land in Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport which is 60 km northwest of Hsinchu. There are a few options to get to NTHU (downtown Hsinchu).
By Taxi: Taxis queue outside the arrival halls. Please show the driver the address with bilingual instructions. The typical fare to Hsinchu downtown is around NTD1,200 - to NTD 2,200 (USD45-70). The ride takes about an hour in moderate traffic.
By Bus: Take the Rihao bus NO 1250 to NTHU. The one-way ticket from Taoyuan Airport to National Tsing Hua University is NTD150 (USD5). It takes roughly 45 minutes.
By HSR: Take the Taiwan High Speed Rail to NTHU. The one-way ticket from HSR Taoyuan Station to Hsinchu Station is NTD 65 (USD2).
- After you get off at HSR Hsinchu Station and then take the Kuo-Kuang bus NO 182 to the NTHU. The one-way ticket from HSR Hsinchu Station to NTHU is NTD15 (USD 0.5). It takes roughly 30 minutes.
- You can take the taxi directly from HSR Hsinchu Station to NTHU. The typical fare is around NTD 300 (USD10). It takes roughly 15 minutes.
From SOL Hotel to NTHU
By bus: Take Hsinchu City bus No. 藍1 or 2路 or 83.
- There are many bus stops near Sol Hotel, you can choose Station 東門市場 or 東區區公所(東門國小).
- From Station東門區公所(東門國小) to Station NTHU: (Link1)、(Link2)

By bike: Ride a Ubike.
